Health Minister Kate Beecroft says extra staff have been taken on at Noble's Hospital to try to cut rising waiting times in Accident and Emergency.
She faced questions in Tywnald this week from Douglas North MHK David Ashford about the issue.
Mrs Beecroft said a number of changes to systems had been made to try to ensure people were seen as quickly as possible, and a GP was now on-hand to treat less serious injuries.
But she said three new A&E consultants and a new specialist nurse had been employed:
